Jie Zhang is Dean, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at College of Mechanical Engineering, Donghua University. She received her doctoral degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1997.

She was the deputy director, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing and Information Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; an associate professor of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology; a postdoctoral fellow at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the University of Hong Kong; and a senior visiting fellow at Lumière University Lyon 2, University of California, Berkeley, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

高亮 116x160.png

Prof. Liang Gao, Secretary of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology

Liang Gao is the deputy director and professor of State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology. He has long been devoted to research on intelligent optimization methods and their applications in design and manufacturing, including shop floor scheduling and topology optimization.

Currently, digital manufacturing is not well-developed, with poor theoretical basis and imperfect theoretic system as well as pinch technologies. In this regard, Gao conducted research and proposed various theories and effective methods for smart scheduling in terms of Job-shop Scheduling Problem (JSP), Flexible JSP (FJSP) and Integrated process planning and scheduling (IPPS). He has thus achieved fruitful outcomes in systematic innovation and updated the optimal solution to dozens of problems.
