YanjunHuang is a Distinguished Professor at Tongji University and Vice Dean of the College of Automotive Studies and Energy. He was appointed a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor in 2024. He has served as principal investigator of major research programs including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas), an NSFC Joint Key Program, and the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Leading Talent Team Program. He was recognized as a Young Scientist for a Strong China in 2025 and a Shanghai High-Level Talent Distinguished Expert in 2019. His technical policy reports have been adopted by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee. He has published extensively in leading journals, including Nature Communications, with more than ten papers recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers and Hot Papers. His research has also received annual best paper awards from IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles (T-IV), IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), and IFAC Control Engineering Practice (CEP). He served as Chair of the inaugural World Young Scientists Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Driving, jointly organized by FISITA and SAE-China. He is the chief editor of the Springer book series on Intelligent and Connected Vehicles and serves as an Associate Editor for journals including IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. He also holds academic leadership positions, including Secretary-General and Deputy Chair, in committees and branches of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, Chinese Association of Automation, and Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. He won first place in the China Intelligent and Connected Vehicle Algorithm Challenge and has supervised students who have received multiple national gold medals in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
